WHO: Volunteers from the Dogpatch and Potrero Hill neighborhoods will join the San Francisco Department of Public Works and the Port of San Francisco, members of Graffiti Watch, and Port property owners

WHAT: Massive cleanup of graffiti vandalism and other beautification projects

24th St. and Illinois St. (east of Third St.)
San Francisco, CA

WHEN: Saturday, August 4, 2007

WHY: To reclaim one of the only parks on the eastern waterfront for community use. Warm Water Cove Park has become a destination for graffiti vandals from all over the Bay Area to practice their tagging on park property and neighboring buildings. Beginning August 4, the park will be declared off limits to taggers and a community planning process led by the Port of San Francisco, the Piero Patri Foundation, Neighborhood Parks Council's BlueGreen Way, will get underway. Sign up for the cleanup on the SF Connect website @ www.sfconnect.org or call the Department of Public Works at 415-641-2625.
