National Public Works Week is celebrated across the country the third week of May every year to call attention to the importance of public works projects, programs and services in our communities. This is an ideal time to celebrate with our many DPW partners, with whom our many successes this year would not be possible.
During National Public Works Week, DPW will host a number of events for employees including a service pin ceremony, a picnic, and an awards ceremony to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of DPW staff members in the past year.
To showcase the importance of public works in the lives of all San Franciscans and celebrate our heroes at DPW who serve the public with pride, skill and responsiveness, we are also offering free public tours where people can learn more about the inner workings of the department and partnering agencies. We look forward to seeing you!
